We offer this six-week long program four times a year. Entire families move to Esperanza for the duration. We have five homes and several cabins available for this.

This program is flexible and tailored to the individual needs of participating families. Bible studies are a unique and life changing part of what is offered. One-on-one counseling and group sessions are also important aspects of this program. Issues covered may include parent/child relationships, spousal relationships, conflict resolution, communication, healthy living, anger management, self esteem, and recovery from abuse.

Crisis Intervention

This Crisis Intervention Support Service provides specific individual counseling and physical retreat in Esperanza. This service is primarily geared to individuals that are seeking safe housing from an abusive environment, or experiencing acute grief and/or loss. If the staff of EFL assess the suicide risk of any individual to be too great, that particular person will then be referred to a physician for appropriate medical or psychiatric assessment and treatment.

Substance Abuse Intervention

Individuals and/or families seeking to live free from the abuse of substances/chemicals are invited to participate in this program. At the time of entry into the program participants are not to be suffering from acute withdrawal and are prohibited from bringing any chemicals with them to Esperanza. Emphasis is on restoring their relationship with the Creator,maintaining an addiction free lifestyle, finding alternatives to coping with and managing stress and gaining accountability under specific client centered counseling. A twelve step approach is used.

Men's Program

This 24 week on-site discipleship program is designed to provide a caring atmosphere to enable men to take an honest look at difficult areas in their lives and to choose healthy ways to change and grow. Prayer and bible study are a daily part of the program.
